Pets

I don’t really like the idea of a pet now. I did grow up with a dog and a cat and a bird, however.
My bird’s name was Booster. He was a blue budgie. I named him. We had Booster when I was about 7 years old. Once he got stuck in my girlfriend’s hair.
My cat’s name was Angel. She was an outdoor cat adopted from a barn in Quebec. She was a Calico and a hunter, and a scrapper. She stayed out every night, all night, except in the vicious winter.
My dog was named Blaze. Blaze was a German Shepard/Collie mix, also from the barn. She was an exceptional hound. One time, when she was a puppy, she fell asleep under the bed, with a brush in her mouth. I have a Polaroid photo of that.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t like animals. I was blessed with animals my entire childhood. I took the death of my dog poorly. I couldn’t bear the pain of losing an animal again, so I simply refuse to get one.
